Trick or treating might be over, but the Halloween fun doesn't have to be! The ghost train is coming to Shorewood tomorrow night (Tuesday, October 31st), chugging through the Oak Leaf Trail Bridge that runs over Capitol Drive.
Designer Marty Peck created the illusion of an old-fashioned train crossing the bridge twice each evening. The sensory experience produces authentic train lights and sounds, awakening the imagination of those who get to watch it and creating an aura of a "ghost train."
The art installation is based on the 'Twin Cities 400', a train that was operated by the Chicago & North Western Railway and crossed that same location from 1935-1963 on its route from Chicago and the Twin Cities.
