The nice folks at Olives To Go contacted me a few weeks ago to help get the word out about their new line of neatly packaged, no-mess olives.
I happened to be on Day 7 of a paleo diet, and in serious need of new snacking ideas, so I was in!
The olives are packaged much like fruit cups or applesauce, but without the messy juices.
They are the perfect salty snack when you're on the go like so many busy moms. My favorite are the kalamata, and my 14 month old liked the good old black pitted. My husband went for the green pimiento stuffed.
(While my three and a half year old didn't care for them, it's worth it to note that his diet consists primarily of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and bananas. He doesn't approve much more than that!)
I'm glad to have found a paleo-friendly, nutritious to-go snack to add to our family's rotation. I can see families using these after school and after sports as a convenient snack on the go.
Convenience, health and tastiness - a win all around for me!
